Here’s your easy end-of-summer checklist to keep your ride running right:
1. Change the Oil (if it’s time): If you’ve hit your mileage mark or it’s been more than a few months since your last oil change, don’t wait. Fresh oil keeps your engine happy and running smooth.
2. Check All Fluids: Late summer is a great time to check your coolant, brake fluid, power steering fluid, transmission fluid, and windshield washer fluid. Topping off or flushing any of these now can prevent trouble down the road.
3. Inspect Your Tires: Summer heat can mess with tire pressure and wear patterns. Check tread depth, make sure they’re properly inflated, and rotate them if it’s time. Don’t forget to peek at the spare!
